The FIGC Prosecutor, Giuseppe Chinè, is set to conduct hearings with Juan Jesus and Francesco Acerbi before the weekend. This is in light of the ongoing investigation into alleged racist comments made by Acerbi towards Juan Jesus during a recent Serie A match between Inter and Napoli. The Sports Judge, Gerardo Mastrandrea, has called for additional inquiries, prompting these hearings.
Juan Jesus is scheduled to speak with the Prosecutor today, March 21, while Acerbi will have his conference call on March 22. Acerbi’s discussion with Chinè will take place from Inter’s training center and will include the presence of a club lawyer.
The proceedings may also involve Inter-Napoli referee Federico La Penna, as Chinè aims to compile all necessary documentation for the Sports Judge by the end of the week.
With the investigation progressing, a verdict from Judge Mastrandrea is anticipated next week. Should Acerbi be found culpable, he faces a suspension of at least ten games, which would effectively conclude his playing season.
