In a conversation on The Obi One podcast, former striker Eden Hazard made several interesting revelations about his football career.
Earlier in October 2023, Hazard officially retired from professional football at the age of 32 as the former Belgian star felt no joy in playing anymore.
During his time at Real Madrid from 2019-2023, Hazard was often criticized for being overweight after the summer break, and recently, during a commentary on The Obi One podcast, the former Chelsea star himself admitted to this issue.
“Every summer I gained four or five kilos because I thought I had already given a lot for 10 months,” Hazard said. “You push your body to the maximum level and people kick you. So your free time is your free time. As a Belgian, I love beers because my country has the best beers in the world. I’m not telling you that I used to drink every day, because that’s not true, but sometimes after a good game, one or two is good,
Additionally, Hazard also revealed his favorite drink is beer, and he often indulges in it after every win.
“As a Belgian guy, I naturally love beer because Belgian beers are the best in the world,” Hazard added. “I don’t drink beer regularly, but after every win, I reward myself.”
Hazard had a fantastic 7-year spell at Chelsea, where the former star born in 1991 won 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, and 2 Europa Leagues.
