The Argentine football star, Lionel Messi, recently hosted a lavish birthday party for his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, at an upscale restaurant in downtown Miami.
The venue chosen for the celebration was Gekko, a Japanese-themed restaurant. In Japanese, “Gekko” translates to “moonlight.” According to the restaurant’s website, Gekko is advertised as a place that “takes guests to a nocturnal world, with rare uniqueness.”
The uniqueness of Gekko lies in its offerings, which include dishes prepared from top-quality meats, assorted sushi, and particularly distinctive seafood appetizers, all reflecting the rich culinary style of Japan. The restaurant also boasts a variety of specialty cocktails and an extensive selection of fine wines.
This is precisely why Messi, the forward currently playing for Inter Miami, chose Gekko to host the celebration of his beautiful wife Antonela’s 36th birthday. While Messi sported a white Prada denim shirt priced at over 1,500 euros, Antonela opted for a brown Saint Laurent minidress priced at 3,400 euros.
It goes without saying that Antonela, a prominent WAG (Wives and Girlfriends of Athletes), radiated enthusiasm as she posed with Messi beside a three-tier birthday cake featuring images of their family. The party atmosphere was further enlivened by a performance from the renowned singer Bizarrap.
Among the attendees were some of Messi’s teammates from Inter Miami, such as Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba. The Inter Miami players joined in dancing and chanting to the rhythm of “Quedate,” a hit song by the famous DJ Quevedo. Antonela, the WAG, captured and enthusiastically shared these special moments on social media.
