According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are closely monitoring the situation of Francesco Camarda, who is set to forgo signing a contract extension with Milan next week.
Expected to formalize his inaugural professional agreement with Milan upon reaching 16 years of age next week, Camarda’s contract signing has been delayed, as indicated by Gazzetta’s report. The printed edition of the aforementioned publication on page 20 details that while there exists a preliminary agreement between Camarda’s representatives and Milan, the formal extension process requires additional time.
This delay may also prove advantageous for Milan, as should Camarda finalize a new agreement in July, the contract’s validity would extend until 2027 rather than 2026.
Simultaneously, numerous European clubs are closely monitoring the ascent of the promising Italian striker, thereby preventing Milan from assuming complete security until Camarda officially prolongs his tenure at the Meazza.
As outlined in the report, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are among the clubs showing interest in the 15-year-old striker. Of particular concern is Manchester City’s potential influence, considering their affiliation with Serie B side Palermo as part of the City Group.
