    Liverpool’s rising star Conor Bradley couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell following their Carabao Cup final triumph. Virgil van Dijk’s decisive goal in extra time secured the trophy for Liverpool, who navigated through a mounting injury crisis, fielding a youthful lineup featuring six players aged 21 or under, including Bradley.

    The 20-year-old seized his opportunity at full-back, later shifting positions due to an injury to Ryan Gravenberch. During one of his energetic runs up the flank, Bradley found himself in a heated exchange with Chilwell, who appeared to push out at the Reds defender. Despite the brief altercation, officials swiftly intervened, restoring calm among the players.
    However, Bradley didn’t pass up the chance to have a bit of fun at Chilwell’s expense on social media. Following the victory, the young full-back took to Instagram to share snapshots from the day, including one featuring himself and Chilwell. In the picture, Bradley stands confidently in front of the Chelsea captain, seemingly unperturbed by their on-field clash.

    After the match on Sunday, Liverpool Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his youngsters who featured in the victory over Chelsea.

    ‘Age is not at all in our thought process,’ replied Klopp when asked about the decision to play his young stars.

    ‘It’s clear we need to fill the squad and these were the boys we would take. We needed fresh legs, that was clear. It was clear we had to make changes.

    ‘The development of Bobby Clark, It’s really crazy, I have to say. The development of James McConnell is absolutely insane. And Dannsy I love him, from his first training session.

    ‘There were other kids we could have brought on. It’s just nice to partner these boys with their first moment. The way the experienced group embraces them is pretty special.’

    The triumph represented Klopp’s seventh major trophy at Liverpool, and with the club top of the Premier League and still in the FA Cup and Europa League, the German’s final season in charge at Anfield could be the most special of all.
