Rafael Leao unveiled his autobiography today, emphasizing his commitment to AC Milan and expressing gratitude for the club’s support during challenging times. The Portuguese footballer, who envisions his future with the Rossoneri, presented his debut book titled ‘Smile: My life between football, music, and fashion’ at a press conference held at the Mondadori store in Piazza Duomo this evening.
During the event, Leao discussed various themes from the book, including his family’s allegiance to Benfica and the absence of interest from the Portuguese club during his teenage years. Following the stage presentation, he engaged in individual interviews with journalists.
“I could not leave Milan, they were always close to me, even during the most difficult moments of my life,” said Leao, who recently signed a new contract with the Rossoneri.
“I chose the Number 10 jersey because Alessandro Del Piero had it, but also many other champions who wore it and are my idols. The 10 is different, it is for players who bring something different to the pitch. I wanted to wear it because it was an important number in the history of Milan and I feel that I am important player too.”
