Italian international Destiny Udogie has resumed training with Tottenham, rendering him eligible for selection by the Azzurri national team in upcoming fixtures against Venezuela and Ecuador slated for March.
Udogie, who was absent from the squad during a recent 2-1 defeat against Wolves at home in mid-February, has rejoined group training sessions. It is anticipated that he will be fit for selection when Tottenham faces Crystal Palace in North London this Saturday.
Tottenham shared a photograph of Udogie smiling before a training session on Tuesday, and subsequent confirmation from Football London corroborates that the former Udinese defender has fully resumed training.
This means Udogie will be available in March when Italy fly to the USA for games against Venezuela and Ecuador.
The ex-Udinese left-back made his senior Azzurri debut under Luciano Spalletti in a 4-0 victory over Malta in October 2023, coming off the bench as a substitute in the second half.
He started his first international match a few days later against England at Wembley Stadium.
He was not included in the Azzurri squad in November due to a muscle injury.
