According to a report by Tuttosport newspaper, there is considerable interest from both Benfica and Sporting CP in securing the services of Juventus-owned players Arthur and Kaio Jorge. This interest stems from Juventus’ intention to finance the acquisition of Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta.
Several sources within Italy have identified Koopmeiners as Juventus’ primary target for bolstering their midfield in the upcoming season. Tuttosport further reports that Juventus aims to finalize the transfer during the summer transfer window.
The newspaper, based in Turin, indicates that Atalanta has set a price range of €65-70 million for the Dutch midfielder, necessitating Juventus to generate funds through player sales to meet this valuation.
As outlined in the report, Benfica has expressed interest in acquiring Brazilian midfielder Arthur, currently on loan at Fiorentina. Similarly, Sporting CP is eyeing Kaio Jorge, who has notably scored three goals in 16 Serie A appearances for Frosinone.
Tuttosport suggests that the combined sales of Arthur and Kaio Jorge could yield approximately €35 million for Juventus, constituting nearly half of Atalanta’s asking price for Koopmeiners.
It is noted that Juventus has initiated discussions with Koopmeiners’ agent, Bart Baving. However, there is significant interest from other clubs, including Tottenham and Manchester United, in securing the services of the 26-year-old midfielder.
