Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri acknowledged the need for defensive improvements following their narrow 3-2 victory over Frosinone.
Despite securing a late win, their first in five games, Allegri highlighted concerns: “We must return to defending differently. We’ve conceded too easily in recent matches.”
He identified specific areas for improvement: “We were stretched in the first half and struggled with their high press. We need to be stronger physically throughout the entire game.”
Despite the win, Allegri emphasized the importance of hard work: “We must work hard and return to our previous form. These three points are crucial in the race for the top four.”
Injuries to Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie added to the concern, but Allegri expressed confidence in his squad: “We have other players, and we’ll field the right team for a good performance in Naples next week.”
Regarding Dusan Vlahovic’s performance, Allegri praised his development: “Dusan is doing well. He seems less frustrated and more involved in the game, which is crucial.”
However, regarding Federico Chiesa’s substitution, Allegri downplayed any concerns: “There are no problems. He needs to regain full fitness; he will be an important player again in the second half of the season.”
Allegri reaffirmed his commitment to Juventus: “I am happy working with the club. We have a shared focus on the present. While I am contracted until 2025, I am emotionally invested in Juventus. Our priority now is to return to the Champions League.”
He concluded by emphasizing his long-term commitment: “We have a plan, and I am absolutely happy at Juventus. Our focus is on the present, but the club will assess future plans.”
