He said: “Seamus was ill earlier in the week, he was back in today. He still sounds a little bit groggy, but he’s the pro he is.
“Arnie [Danjuma] is working very hard to get fit, André [Gomes] is working very hard to get fit. The others are more or less okay. Mykolenko took a knock, but we’re hopeful he will be alright.
“Everyone else is okay. We had to monitor [Docuoure’s] minutes [against Crystal Palace], of course, but he’s been out there training today.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not found the net since firing the winner against West Ham on October 29, a goalless run stretching back 19 matches, but Dyche is confident that as long as the England international continues to keep doing the ‘key habits’, the goals will eventually come.
He said: “He is staying fit, I think he is getting stronger all the time. The impact is what it is. Strikers know the rules of their job. If it is not quite working then how do you get it to work for you?
“Key habits are important – getting in the right areas, arriving at the right time in the right places – and you have got to keep doing that. I think he knows where he is at.”
Asked about addressing his side’s goalscoring problems on the whole, Dyche replied: “How do you find the freedom to finish? How do you find the freedom to miss, even?
“I’m only on them for not being in the right place. It then comes down to finding the clarity to provide a finish.”
