Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has made it clear that he is not interested in signing players who are solely motivated by the prospect of playing in the Champions League.
Currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League, Tottenham have a chance to secure a spot in the revamped Champions League for next season.
However, Postecoglou emphasized that he values players who genuinely want to join Tottenham, rather than those who are swayed by the allure of Champions League football.
He stated that he is looking for a specific type of character in his players and that he has had no issues attracting the players he wants to the club, despite not being in the Champions League.
While Tottenham reported losses in their recent financial accounts, they are not at risk of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations. Postecoglou also mentioned that the club is actively planning for the upcoming transfer window and will not be restricted like some other clubs.
