Atalanta have refuted claims that they have been directly contacted by interested clubs regarding midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, despite the ongoing speculation linking him to a potential move to Liverpool.
Koopmeiners, a standout player in Serie A, has been making waves with his impressive performances, having already scored 11 goals in 26 league appearances this season.
Reports from Italy have suggested that Liverpool and Juventus are among the clubs monitoring the talented Dutch international.
However, Atalanta’s director general, Antonio Percassi, has clarified that they have not received any direct interest from clubs regarding Koopmeiners.
In response to rumors about the midfielder’s potential departure, Percassi stated that there has been no immediate movement in that regard.
Despite Atalanta’s denial, Koopmeiners himself has openly expressed his intention to leave in the summer and has even mentioned his interest in playing in England.
Interestingly, Koopmeiners’ Atalanta will be facing Liverpool in the quarter-finals of this season’s Europa League.
