Liverpool is on the verge of receiving a boost as six key players are set to make their return in the upcoming weeks. The first ones to rejoin the squad are Andrew Robertson and Curtis Jones, who are both in the running to participate in the match against Sheffield United.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has provided an update on the injury status of Andrew Robertson and Curtis Jones. He has stated that both players are expected to make their return from injury in the upcoming match against Sheffield United on Thursday.
However, there is uncertainty surrounding the availability of Wataru Endo due to a potential injury. Robertson had suffered an ankle injury while representing Scotland during international duty last month, while Jones has been sidelined since February after sustaining an ankle injury in Liverpool’s victory over Brentford.
Additionally, Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold are set to resume training next week, and goalkeeper Alisson is progressing well in his recovery from a hamstring problem. On the other hand, Endo sustained a knock during Liverpool’s recent 2-1 win against Brighton.
Liverpool claimed the top spot in the league after their victory against Brighton on Sunday, while Arsenal and Manchester City, their title contenders, shared points in a draw. On Wednesday, the Gunners secured a 2-0 win against Luton. Nevertheless, Klopp remains unfazed by the fact that his team is now regarded as favorites by numerous individuals, despite having nine games left to play.
