Milan has reinitiated discussions with the representatives of Assan Ouedraogo, the midfielder from Schalke 04, signaling their ongoing interest in the young talent as the summer transfer window approaches. At the age of 17, Ouedraogo made his breakthrough into Schalke’s senior squad last summer and has since demonstrated promising performances in the 2. Bundesliga, contributing with a goal and two assists in 13 league appearances this season.
In November, several Serie A clubs, including Milan, expressed significant interest in acquiring Ouedraogo’s services, alongside Juventus and Inter. Despite the heightened speculation, a transfer deal failed to materialize at that time. Nonetheless, Milan’s pursuit of the player has persisted, indicating their enduring interest in securing his talents for the club.
Fresh Ouedraogo talks
In a report by Daniele Longo for Calciomercato.com, it is revealed that Milan’s director, Geoffrey Moncada, has initiated new discussions with Ouedraogo and his representatives, aiming to assess the feasibility of a potential transfer during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 17-year-old player is currently under contract with Schalke, which includes a release clause set to become effective in the summer. However, Milan is endeavoring to negotiate a discounted transfer fee. Furthermore, several other prominent clubs such as Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen have also expressed interest in securing a deal for the player.
