Burnley’s hopes of improving their Premier League survival chances were dashed as they were held to a frustrating draw by Wolves at Turf Moor.
Jacob Bruun Larsen scored the opening goal for the hosts in the 37th minute, courtesy of a well-placed finish from Dara O’Shea’s cross.
However, Wolves managed to equalize just before half-time through Rayan Ait-Nouri’s header from Pablo Sarabia’s free-kick.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision to award the free-kick that led to Wolves’ goal.
Despite dominating at times, Burnley failed to capitalize on their opportunities, with Bruun Larsen missing a chance to double his tally.
The match ended with substitute Jay Rodriguez finding the net, only for his goal to be disallowed for offside. Burnley will face Everton in their upcoming fixture.
