Several sources have corroborated reports indicating that Manchester United has set its sights on acquiring Gleison Bremer, who is currently contracted with Juventus. It has been disclosed that Bremer’s contract with the Italian club incorporates a release clause, the value of which ranges between €60 million and €70 million. This clause is slated to become actionable from the onset of the summer transfer window in 2025.
The Italian sports publications Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport have both published articles on Thursday outlining the presence of a release clause in Bremer’s contract with Juventus. This contract, which the Brazilian defender recently finalized, contains provisions specifying the aforementioned release clause.
Romeo Agresti, a recognized authority on Juventus affairs, has affirmed via a Facebook post that the revised contractual arrangement between Bremer and Juventus entails a release clause valued between €60 million and €70 million. Notably, this clause is set to come into effect exclusively from June 2025 onwards.
However, Agresti has asserted that Juventus has made assurances to Bremer regarding the evaluation of offers from interested clubs as early as the summer of 2024. Consequently, there exists a possibility that Bremer, a former Torino defender, could depart from the Allianz Stadium upon the conclusion of the ongoing season.
Manchester United is purportedly at the forefront of the pursuit to secure Bremer’s services following the conclusion of the current campaign. According to reports from Gazzetta, Manchester United may explore the prospect of a player-plus-cash exchange deal involving Mason Greenwood in order to mitigate the financial implications of acquiring the defender.
