Dani Alves made headlines worldwide when he was accused of sexual assault while preparing to retire from the Mexican Liga MX with Pumas.
He was ultimately found guilty and sentenced, but was recently released on bail. Just a few days after his release, he hosted a party at his home to celebrate his father’s birthday.
According to ‘Asi es la vida’, a party was held by Dani Alves on Tuesday night to commemorate his father, Domingos Alves Da Silva’s birthday. The celebration reportedly lasted until 5am, with only a few journalists remaining by that time. The party included both family friends and personal friends of the soccer player.
After serving a 14-month jail sentence, Dani Alves concluded his career at Pumas. He was able to secure his release from prison by raising the required one million euros for bail, as confirmed by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia. He was released from prison after 4:00 pm local time.
As part of his provisional freedom, Dani Alves has surrendered both his Brazilian and Spanish passports to his defense team, led by lawyer Ines Guardiola. He is not permitted to leave the country, and the Spanish justice system has informed the Brazilian authorities to prevent the issuance of a new passport, should he apply for one.
