Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is reportedly being considered for transfer, with interest from both Arsenal and clubs based in Saudi Arabia. Despite being contracted until June 2027, there are indications from Calciomercato.it suggesting that AC Milan may be willing to entertain offers in the vicinity of €50 million for the Algeria international.
Bennacer was acquired by Milan from Empoli in the summer of 2019 for €17.2 million and has recently returned to action after a six-month absence due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Throughout the current season, he has made 15 appearances across various competitions, contributing with one assist.
While the Saudi Pro League has previously expressed interest in Bennacer, Arsenal appears to be the frontrunner in potential negotiations. This prospect would mark a return for the midfielder to Arsenal, where he was previously on the roster from 2015 to 2017, before being sold to Empoli for €1 million in the summer of 2017.
Despite Bennacer’s potential departure, Milan possesses several alternative options within their squad, such as Yacine Adli, Tijjani Reijnders, and Yunus Musah, while Tommaso Pobega has also resumed training as of today.
