According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Arsenal may be interested in signing a new striker during the summer transfer window.
While the team has been scoring goals consistently this season, there is a belief that a top-level striker could elevate Mikel Arteta’s side to the next level.
Players like Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Bukayo Saka have all contributed in the final third, but the addition of a world-class center-forward could make a significant difference if Arsenal aims to compete for the Premier League title.
Currently, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are Arteta’s primary options as strikers. However, neither player has been a consistent goal scorer for the Gunners.
The upcoming transfer window presents an opportunity for Arsenal to strengthen this area of the team and potentially surpass Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League standings.
There have been reports linking RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal. Sesko, who has been compared to Erling Haaland, is being closely monitored by Arteta’s recruitment team.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown interest in the young forward. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano previously mentioned the possibility of Sesko leaving RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window, highlighting his status as one of the best talents in the world.
In addition to Sesko, Brentford striker Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen have also been mentioned as potential targets for Arsenal. Toney, an England international, offers a more experienced option due to his age and Premier League background.
On the other hand, Osimhen, despite not currently playing in England, is considered to be further along in his development compared to Sesko if Arsenal desires a more established player.
