Willian, the winger for Fulham, has confirmed that he will make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season.
The Brazilian player returned to the Premier League in 2022 and initially signed a one-year contract with Fulham.
However, he allowed his contract to run down and then promptly signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023-24 season. With his current contract set to expire on June 30, Willian has expressed uncertainty about whether he will extend his stay with the Cottagers.
According to Sport Witness, Willian stated in an interview with Trivela that Fulham has indicated their desire for him to stay and renew his contract.
Prior to his time at Fulham, Willian spent seven years with Chelsea, where he achieved significant success, including winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, an EFL Cup, and a Europa League trophy.
After a brief stint with Arsenal, he returned to Brazil to play for Corinthians before coming back to the English top flight. Since his return, Willian has made 60 appearances for Fulham, contributing 10 goals and eight assists.
Following his recent start in Fulham’s 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, it is likely that he will be involved in their upcoming match against Sheffield United on Saturday.
