Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez’s future at Inter Milan appears uncertain as the club has reportedly identified Mehdi Taremi and Albert Gudmundsson as potential replacements for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
According to the Monday edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, published on page 14, Inter Milan has outlined their transfer plans for the next season, including the search for successors to Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez.
It is anticipated that Chilean international Alexis Sanchez will depart upon the conclusion of his contract in June, with Genoa standout Albert Gudmundsson being the primary candidate to fill his role at the Stadio Meazza.
Reports indicate that Iceland international Gudmundsson has been given approval to join Inter Milan for the following season, pending negotiations with Genoa. The asking price set by Genoa stands at €30 million, and Inter Milan aims to secure the striker through an initial loan agreement with an obligation to purchase.
While Marko Arnautovic’s contract extends until June 2025, Inter Milan has already arranged to acquire a new center-forward for the 2024-25 season. It is widely known that Iranian international Mehdi Taremi has accepted Inter Milan’s offer, thus he is poised to join the Serie A giants on a free transfer in the summer, upon the expiration of his contract with Porto.
