According to a report by Il Corriere dello Sport, Claudio Lotito, the President of Lazio, has arranged a meeting with Felipe Anderson’s agent with the intention of preventing the Brazilian winger’s anticipated free transfer to Juventus.
Felipe Anderson’s current contract at the Stadio Olimpico is set to expire in the summer, and negotiations with Juventus have progressed significantly.
Despite the advanced talks, Felipe Anderson has not yet committed to a contract with Juventus. Consequently, Lazio is making a final effort to retain him beyond the summer transfer window.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Lotito has reached out to the player’s agent, Juliana Gomes, to schedule a meeting at Formello before Saturday’s match against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.
It is reported by Corriere dello Sport that Felipe Anderson is seeking a salary of €3.5 million per year, a figure which Lotito is willing to match with additional incentives. However, there remains a disparity of approximately €1 million per season between Lazio’s offer and Felipe Anderson’s demands, and negotiations regarding the duration of the new contract are also pending.
With Juventus and Lazio set to face each other three times in Serie A and Coppa Italia within a month, Lazio is determined to convince their star player to reject the prospect of a free transfer to the Allianz Stadium in the summer.
