Journalist Matteo Moretto of Relevo has reported that Real Madrid has shown interest in signing Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of Liverpool’s key players. The Madrid club is in search of a player who can serve as a long-term replacement for the experienced Dani Carvajal.
Initially, Real Madrid had targeted Reece James as their main choice for the right-back position, but due to his frequent injuries, they have decided to abandon that idea.
As of now, Real Madrid has not made any official offers to Liverpool, but they are closely monitoring the situation regarding Alexander-Arnold’s contract extension.
His current contract with Liverpool is set to expire in the summer of 2025, and negotiations for a new contract have not yet reached an agreement.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is a product of Liverpool’s youth system and has been a part of the club’s first team since 2016. In the current season, the 25-year-old right-back has showcased his skills by scoring 2 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 matches across all competitions.
However, since February 13th, Alexander-Arnold has been sidelined due to a knee injury.
