Joao Cancelo from Manchester City and Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid are currently on loan at Barcelona until the end of the season.
President Joan Laporta has expressed his desire to retain both players. Laporta mentioned that if necessary, a loan deal could be arranged for both players.
According to The Athletic, Laporta believes that Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix will continue to be part of the club next season. Cancelo, a 29-year-old defender, is on loan from Manchester City, while Felix, a 24-year-old forward, is on loan from Atletico Madrid.
Laporta is confident that the Portuguese duo will stay at Barcelona after their loan deals expire this summer. He stated that the club’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is working on the matter and is aware of their intention to continue with the players.
However, Laporta mentioned that the decision to sign them or extend their loan will depend on various factors, including financial considerations.
