Joan Laporta acknowledged on Saturday that Barcelona has turned down a 200 million offer for Lamine Yamal.
The exclusive news was reported by MARCA on March 9. PSG, represented by Jorge Mendes, presented the proposal for the Blaugrana forward.
Barcelona declined the offer from the French club due to their belief that the player is the future of the team.
Laporta explained the decision as follows: “We have received offers for players like Lamine Yamal, worth 200 million euros, and we have rejected them. We have faith in the young man, as he represents the future of our team.
“We trust in his athletic potential and, in fact, we do not have the necessity to sell. On the contrary, we are in the process of economic recovery and can already see the light at the end of the tunnel,” stated Laporta, highlighting the positive moment the club is experiencing.
