The Netflix series ‘Beckham’ showcased the remarkable journey of David Beckham, from his early days to becoming a global football superstar. The spotlight followed him through his illustrious career at clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and LA Galaxy. Amidst the constant media buzz, one thing remained unchanged: Victoria Beckham’s distinctive eating habits, a testament to the couple’s unique personal life amidst their public fame.
Speaking on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, David Beckham admitted that his wife would typically have the very same food on an apparent daily basis.
He explained: “I get quite emotional about food and wine. When I’m eating something great, I want everyone to try it.
“Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for 25 years.
“Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables. She will very rarely deviate from that.
“The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing.
“It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was, but I know she’s not eaten it since!”
Beckham expressed his passion for cooking, describing it as ‘amazing’ and shared that he cherishes the time spent alone during the afternoons and evenings while engaged in this activity.
He even revealed how he likes to ‘secretly’ cook his favourite meal whenever Victoria is out of the house: “I had two [of the] most amazing cuts of meat: a T-bone and I had some English wagyu.
“I had a nice tomato and shallot salad and the meat, and a glass of wine, and it was the most amazing meal that I had for a long time.”
In the aforementioned ‘Beckham’ series, the former United number seven revealed how he spends time each weekend in his BBQ tent, which contains a grill and a 12-seat table.
He said: “I’m in here from 11 to nine or 10 o’clock at night, sometimes later, just grilling! That’s all I do – I bring my iPad and watch the football.”
