According to a report from Sky Germany, Bayern Munich has taken a significant step in the ongoing Alphonso Davies transfer negotiations by extending a fresh contract offer to the Canadian player.
Previously disclosed information suggests that Real Madrid has set their sights on the left-back from Bayern, viewing Davies as a viable long-term solution for their defensive lineup. Additionally, there have been consistent communications between representatives of Los Blancos and Davies, resulting in a verbal understanding.
Despite this, Bayern remains steadfast in retaining their valuable asset. With Davies’ current contract running until 2025, Bayern faces a dilemma: either negotiate a new deal with the player or risk losing him for free next year.
The reigning champions are actively seeking to reach an agreement with Davies. Sky Germany reports that Bayern has presented a contract proposal that would secure Davies’ services until 2029, with an annual salary of €13 million.
However, this offer falls short of Davies’ purported salary demands of €20 million annually, which has been allegedly agreed upon with Real Madrid. Nonetheless, Bayern has stated that this is their final offer, and if Davies declines, they will permit him to depart for Spain.
